Our client is a specialized management consulting and advisory firm that focuses on strategy, operations and IT. Their company is comprised of over 300 professional advisors with deep domain expertise in strategy, operational transformation, business intelligence, technology and regulatory compliance. They combine industry expertise and integrated solutions to help companies enhance stakeholder value, improve operations, and address performance and risk-related challenges.

Our well established client are seeking a talented user experience strategist and designer in their London, UK office who can apply expertise in UX design, digital strategy, user behaviour and industry best practices to create and execute design solutions that meet the client's business goals. Their ideal candidate has a track record of crafting exceptional experiences that solve user needs, and is comfortable collaborating with both leaders and peers. They are looking for someone who is competent in all aspects of the design process, bring Lean UX methods and strategic thinking into enterprise projects, and establish and grow relationships with clients.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

• Engage directly with stakeholders, project teams and partners to understand business objectives, effectively communicate design recommendations, and solicit feedback.

• Facilitate interactive workshops to gather collective intelligence around business requirements and design ideas.

• Collaborate with internal and client teams throughout the design process involving research, discovery, ideation, and revision.

• Gain a deep understanding of user motivations, business objectives, market opportunities and competition.

• Identifying a strategic direction for a project or organization, identifying the immediate and long-term actions necessary to achieve the strategy, and facilitating a team to execute the plan.

• Oversee design team on deliverables from concept through completion, and guiding them through challenges and ambiguity

• Work alongside business analysts to facilitate requirements gathering/solicitation.

• Conduct design reviews with product owners and/or business stakeholders. Translate gathered requirements into elegant human-centered design solutions that deliver results.

• Collaborate with development team to perform or direct QA on visual layout, browser and platform compatibility, as well as product performance.

• Perform and analyze qualitative and quantitative research in order to inform critical design decisions.

• Play a mentoring role in our talented & growing design team.

To be considered, you must posses the following skills and experience:

• Experience in UX design as a key player of a project team who has successfully launched web, mobile and/or software applications

• Expert in all areas of user experience design (information architecture, interaction design, visual design, prototype engineering, content, user experience).

• A high degree of creativity, empathy, passion, and problem-solving ability.

• Proven experience solving complex communication problems and designing world-class experiences for large-scale programs.

• Prior experience within the healthcare industry preferred

• Prior experience managing junior team members

• Complex understanding of web development fundamentals and integration of the UX process into Agile development practices

• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS3 with experience using HTML5 with good understanding of cross-browser compatibility and W3C validated HTML

• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable documenting and communicating interaction and visual design direction via wireframe, high-fidelity mockups and prototype.

• Experience in Agile project delivery • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
