We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At The Dental Directory we are currently looking for a HR and Payroll Administrator to come and join our team based in Witham. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, temporary basis (with the potential to become permanent) and will receive a competitive salary.

The Dental Directory is one of the largest full service dental dealers in the UK, supplying around 11,900 dental practices, or around 30% of the market, with everything from toothbrushes to specialist medical equipment. About the HR and Payroll Administrator role

The HR department is a busy team that is well respected throughout our growing multi-site business.  We are a team of 6 that covers all areas of HR including strategy, Employee relations, learning, development, talent planning, recruitment, reporting and analytics, payroll and all employee life cycle processes.  The team is approachable by all employees and managers consult frequently with HR on technical matters but also as a thought partner. 

The Company now is of a size where processes need to be automated, employees and managers need to be supported in managing more independently to suit the scale of the operation.  The business moves quickly with acquisition, strategy and performance driven targets and the HR team are central to the success of achieving these commercial goals.  All members of the HR team need to be flexible and be willing to work collaboratively multiple priorities at one time.  As a small team providing the whole spectrum of HR services to a growing business no two days will ever be the same and unplanned for events can require us all to be nimble and adapt to whatever is commercially the key priority. 

Key Responsibilities of our HR and Payroll Administrator

- Employee Life Cycle processing and support

- System maintenance, pension and payroll processing and reporting

- Process re-engineering and streamlining

- First point of contact for employee queries

What we’re looking for in our HR and Payroll Administrator

- Qualification through either Academic qualifications and / or experience as an HR practitioner in a commercial environment

- Experience in HR in the pharmaceutical / distribution / private Equity backed business preferred

- Proven experience in automation and standardisation of HR processes and practices

- Able to work with high volume, in a fast paced environment and with short deadlines

- A friendly and professional manner with a variety of employees both an and offsite

- Appreciation for the importance of timely, complete and accurate documentation

- A real team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to support the team on whatever is needed, a friendly ‘can do’ attitude

- Proactive forward thinker who anticipates client needs or procedural problems and finds solutions

- Keen attention to detail with excellent organisation skills

- A ‘completer finisher’ who keeps track of open items and sees them through to close

- Awareness of the broad HR spectrum of responsibilities and will escalate when needed, but will also use their own judgement when appropriate

- Competent use of Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook

- Knowledge or experience of an HR headcount and payroll system preferred
