JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Sales Manager that has great leadership and motivational skills.

Working as the Sales Manager you will you will be responsible for driving profitable revenue through new business sales, growth and retention of existing clients.

You will be expected to do this through the development and  growth of a team of Field Sales Executives and Account Managers, which will involve recruiting new team members, training and mentoring the team, accompanying new team members out in the field, as well as monitoring the performance of established team members.

Successful candidates will be required to spend around 80% of your time out in the field with your team.

As the Sales Manager you will also have a direct input into the strategic direction of the team, marketing activities, KPI figures and overall revenue targets.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Sales Manager:

  • Develops, implements and maintains a high performance culture within the team
  • Coach your team to achieve Sales Growth Goals
  • Leads the team by spending 80% of time in field with representatives to achieve targets and assists in securing large regional account prospects
  • Stay in touch with clients, associates, market place realities, competition, etc.
  • Leads Team in accordance with the Company’s activity Management system
  • Reinforces the Company’s approved training programs
  • Supports and drives close cooperation with the Telemarketing Team to achieve productivity, new business activity and revenue goals
  • Protects and enhances the corporate image through appropriate actions with respect to clients, associates, other businesses and the community at large
  • Interviews and hires new team members
  • Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of the marketing plan
  • Provides formal written performance agreement 3 times a year for team member
  • Oversees all corrective actions regarding under-performing team members
  • Ensures the appropriateness of training and development of each team member
  • Manages ongoing successful performance of team members, refocuses and redirects as required
  • Stays in touch with clients and keeps up-to-date with competitors, business trends, new business developments, compensation rates and practices
  • Contributes to corporate planning tasks regarding business direction, strategies and marketing plans
  • Evaluates and defines the longer term potential of the specific business market area
  • Recommends and implements approved corporate agreements to shorter term plans (annual sales budgets), in order to achieve the defined longer term potential of the market

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven successful sales management experience
  • Business-to-business service experience
  • Effective communication & negotiation skills
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel and Salesforce skills would be an advantage)
  • Strong coaching and marketing ability
  • Results-oriented – motivated by success

  • Believes in continuing education and personal development
