Technical Service Analytical Scientist - Hygiene

This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity for career development within a successful and rapidly expanding Technical team.

Laboratory based at Lonza’s impressive Manchester facility, and as part of the EMEA Technical Service team, this role will include responsibility for:

  • Providing full analytical testing support of the EMEA Hygiene product range against strict timelines to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Performing analysis procedures to quantitatively measure specified compounds in a variety of Hygiene formulations.
  • Developing methods of ingredient evaluation.
  • Calibrating laboratory instrumentation.
  • Writing Standard Operating Procedures

Ideally with a related scientific Degree e.g. Analytical Chemistry, candidates must have experience as an Analytical Scientist gained within the Hygiene Industry or Active Ingredient Supplier to the industry.  Exceptional candidates with experience of testing active ingredients for other regulated industries may also be considered e.g. food.

Experience in laboratory testing methods and equipment is required, particularly HPLC, with practical experience of method development and good project management skills.

Well organised and thorough, you will possess clear communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with other company functions, together with the flexibility to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
