Our client is a successful interior design business and is looking to recruit a curtain and blind fitter.  With a head office based in Wetherby, however our client requires a new team member who will provide a quality fitting service for customers, predominantly in the Midlands area.

The role:

·      To fit made to measure curtains and blinds into customer homes.

·      Provide an accurate check measure, allowing our client to order goods correctly.   

   

·      As a curtain fitter, you are effectively the face of the company when on site and as such our client will expect a high level of customer service. In addition you will have to work closely with the sales admin team to ensure all fittings go as smoothly as possible.

·      Whilst the role will be relatively flexible depending on demand and schedule, the standard working week will be 37.5 hours.

Candidate Requirements: 

·      Previous experience of working with hand tools/power tools and a variety of fixings.

·      A good knowledge of Health & Safety (CSCS card preferable but not essential)

·      Be able to work alone in a confident manner and have a respectful and courteous manner when dealing with both home owners and our client’s staff.

·      Ability to manage time effectively and be able to plan work to suit the customer’s changeable work plan and be able to follow paperwork/instructions to make sure the correct products are installed into the correct locations.

·      Full UK driving license

Candidate desirables:

·      Experience of fitting curtains and blinds into customer homes

·      Ability to accurately measure sizes for curtains and blind

·      Salary of £22.5k to £25k depending on the level of experience
 

·      Training if required (dependent on the experience of the successful candidate)
 

·      21 days holiday rising to 23 days after 5 years.
