Due to an ever increasing workload, our client is looking for a manual machinist for turning, milling and drill operations in the manufacture and modification of industrial pipeline valves for major UK and overseas clients. The successful candidate will be working as part of a small team in a busy, well equipped workshop machining predominantly stainless and mild steels for low volume orders.
Some degree of manual machining experience (turning/milling) is essential. However, they are happy to consider working with the right person to bring their existing skills up to the required level.
The role presents the opportunity to diversify into a number of different roles such as fitting, welding and pressure testing. There is also the opportunity for the right person to progress to other roles within the company.
The position is permanent full time (basic 40 hours/week) with annual holiday allowance and sickness scheme.
