Job Title: Legal Administration Assistant
Location: Stockport, SK3 0UX
Our clients Legal Assistance LLP, which is part of their group, is a rapidly expanding ABS, specialising in RTA and EL/PL personal injury claims. They have been created to provide class-leading legal advice and client care to all of their individual and institutional clients. They are the largest third-party accident management and claims handling provider in the UK; serving insurers, brokers and fleet operators by providing a wide range of claims handling solutions across the motor, property and legal claims sectors.
Now looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join this team in the role of Legal Administration Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the Legal industry. To be successful you will need to have the drive required to meet and exceed customer expectations, build internal and external relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The purpose of this role is to oversee the day to day running of departmental and general administrative tasks including:
- Opening and distributing incoming post.
- Allocating post to the correct file on the case management system.
- Recording receipt of monies
- Liaising with finance regarding accounting
- Housekeeping duties including setting up refreshments for internal meetings and other ad hoc duties
- Off-site tasks including but not limited to banking duties and visiting court
- Ordering general office supplies
- Organising travel and accommodation
- Booking venues for catering for internal and external client meetings
Essential Requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Organisation and planning skills
- Team Player
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Understanding of Microsoft systems i.e. Excel/Word
- Knowledge of DPA, its requirements and implications
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of scanning / Post Room functions
- GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
