A Midday Assistant is required for a temporary post at a Primary school in Wigan to start ASAP until February half term. The post is subject to satisfactory references. The role consists of working 5 days a week during term time from 11.30am until 1.30pm. The successful applicant will be committed to the wellbeing of all children under their charge.

We are looking for someone who:

• Must have experience of working with children in a professional environment.
• Any relevant child care qualifications or first aid training would be beneficial but not essential.
• Has the ability to work as part of a team.
• Be empathetic to the needs of the children.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising children in the dining hall and in the playground.
• Liasing with the class teacher to inform of any welfare issues.
• Ensuring children are safely supervised at all times.
