Experienced Asbestos Project Manager for environmental / remediation business

The Role

As Asbestos Project Manager, you will oversee projects ensuring all sites run efficiently and in compliance with HSE regulations at all times with responsibilities including:

  • assisting with initial project estimating / surveying / tender / pricing quotations etc.
  • supporting / delegating tasks to site supervisors to ensure effective running of sites
  • acting as contact for all project matters and undertaking site inspections as required
  • determining labour and plant requirements for each project and overseeing sub-contractors
  • responsibility for regulation updates / training / technical competency / HSE certification
  • provision of asbestos related technical advice to senior management / operatives / tenants
  • preparation of monthly internal reports for management
  • Health & Safety responsibilities including policies, procedures, auditing and monitoring

The Person

You will be an experienced project manager with both HSE and asbestos product knowledge. You will have technical demolition and/or associated construction experience to take projects through from initial tender stage to site clearance and completion. Familiar with HSE issues (IOSH, NEBOSH), risk assessments and project budgeting you will need good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
