Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer - £30,000-32,000 Dependent On Experience

A successful and growing electronics engineering and manufacturing company in the Thames Valley area requires an experienced Quality Engineer to oversee all aspects of the company's Quality Management System.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for documenting, maintaining and developing the company's ISO 9001 QMS, ensuring that all products meet the business and customer quality expectations and regulatory requirements. Any experience or knowledge of ATEX or IECEx Hazardous Area certification would be beneficial.

Duties and responsibilities
- Working to ISO 9001 standard
- Ensuring products meet internal and external quality requirements
- Working with suppliers to identify, isolate and resolve issues with defective components
- Liaise with the sales team to resolve quality control issues
- Maintaining quality documentation following technical changes to products and processes
- Monitoring and developing the quality inspection processes and auditing these processes
- Conducting internal audits and writing reports
- Ensure calibration certificates are kept up to date

Education & Experience
- Technical qualification such as HNC/HND or above in an Engineering or Science discipline
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System with knowledge of audits, documentation and process improvement
