Welders

McPhee Mixers has been manufacturing and repairing truck mounted concrete mixer units for more than 40 years. Although, this is our core business we have wide and diverse experience in all steel fabrication.

As part of our ongoing growth plans, we are now looking for time served Welders to join the business.

Fabrication duties as follows: cutting, bending, drilling, sub assembly in Jigs, then removal for welding. All assemblies must adhere to Factory Standards. Fabricators may also be required to assist in other areas, so good all round knowledge is an advantage.

Welders should have Mig and Manual Arc. Welds must be of clean finish, straight and tidy. Sale of our finished product is dependent on all welds being aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Fitters must have a good knowledge of Hydraulics. Knowledge of Electrical Systems would be advantageous. Tidy and accurate workmanship is required to maintain the high standard we currently achieve.

Core hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30. On top of this there will also be the opportunity to have overtime hours up to at least 19 hours per week.
