The UK division LGH UK (Lifting Gear Hire UK) has a growing number of warehouses throughout the UK, supported by a national rental centre in Manchester. The business provides a comprehensive range of service solutions dominated by rental and sales of products within six key categories - hoisting, pulling, jacking, rigging, material handling and safety equipment to meet virtually every conceivable lifting or moving need.

Working as part of the LGH UK team, as a Lifting Equipment Fitter your initial focus will be to assist the NRC Manager in setting up a remote warehouse in Rainham. Your ongoing responsibilities will be to service, repair and prepare for hire all ranges of lifting and material handling equipment, operating within a quality, highly accredited process led environment. Your duties will include although not be limited to:

  • Ensuring all equipment repairs and servicing meets quality standards
  • Proactively responding to all hire desk requirements
  • Supporting remote warehouses in line with the business plan
  • Ensuring the workspace is clean and tidy at all times
  • Attending requisite training courses as required
  • Ensuring health, safety and environmental policies and procedures are complied with

To be considered for this Lifting Equipment Fitter role you MUST have the following experience, knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience with lifting equipment and LEEA certified
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive and determined ‘can do’ attitude
  • Committed and self-motivated
  • High personal work standards with strong attention to detail
  • Superb problem solving and organisational skills
  • Flexibility towards tasks
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary:                          £22,000 - 30,000 per annum, level dependent on experience and qualifications

Additional Benefits:       15% annual bonus attainable, pension scheme, 25 days annual holiday plus bank holidays, and comprehensive training        

Hours of Work:             Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Flexibility will be required to support business and customer needs.
