Experience of Safety-Critical software systems, e.g Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, Air Traffic Management, Rail. They will require you to produce software development plans, typically reflecting rigorous and disciplined development processes. There will be various software languages to interact with including C, C++, Ada, SPARK, Java, Pascal, C# and Java. The other core aspect to the role is writing software requirement specifications using DOORS and UML.Type - 6 month ContractLocation - Bath, SomersetRate - circa ??45 per hourStart Date - ASAP Key Skills Range of systems and software engineering roles covering multiple lifecycle stages * Development of high-integrity software intensive systems * Systems and software engineering principles and methods * DOORS, UML, Requirements Capture * C, ADA, Spark, Z, C++, Java, C#, Pascal * System and Software Development Lifecycle * Approaches, tools and techniques for developing high-integrity software intensive systemsRole & ResponsibilitiesProducing software development plans, typically reflecting rigorous and disciplined development processes. * Writing requirements specifications. * Defining software architectures. * Developing detailed designs. * Implementing designs. * Producing assurance plans - including balancing static and dynamic analysis solutions to implement cost-effective assurance regimes. * Producing test management plans. * Developing test environments. * Developing and executing test specifications.It is possible that you may be required to travel and/or work away from home during occasional client visits.
