Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer 
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience
Location: Field based
Job Type: Permanent 
Hours: 40 + OT

Job Description: 
We are looking to recruit a field based Data Cabling Engineer to join a small core team within a well established local company. 

The successful candidate's primary role will involve the installation and termination of CAT5e, CAT 6, CAT 6a, Multi-mode and Single-mode fibre optic and Multi-core. Other aspects of the role will include: 

• Fault Diagnosis
• Installation of containment 
• Test documentation 
• Supporting and developing junior members of the team 

The successful Data Cabling Engineer will demonstrate a high level of technical competency and will be able to work using their own initiative, when required. 

Key Requirements: 
Excellent knowledge of structured cabling
Strong experience in the installation and termination of structured cabling 
Experience in commissioning installations 
Good experience in reading site plans/drawings 
Strong customer facing skills 
A full valid UK driving licence 

Highly advantageous (although not essential)
NVQ qualification
CSCS Cardholder 
IPAF Certified 
Asbestos trained 
Good knowledge of Interactive Boards, CCTV and Door Access
