A well known high-tech engineering company is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Engineer to be part of a small team that resolve complex supply chain issues for a global customer base.
liaising and negotiating with internal project teams, Customers and external suppliers.
*Respond to Customer RFQ's, generating and placing Purchase Orders with Suppliers.
*Generating Customer reports, and internal metrics using our current business systems
*Providing support to day to day activities, which from time to time you may be required to assist in attending bid meetings, generating estimates, attending risk reviews, and attending functional improvement workshops.
*Supply Chain Management - Maintain / Improve supplier performance, identify and implement cost reductions. Ensure quality levels are maintained at the appropriate level. Liaise with our Procurement and Supply Chain Management teams; ensuring best practice is applied to our business.
Required / Desired skill
*Qualified to at least HNC/HND level in an Engineering subject
*Knowledge of Purchasing & Supply Management,
*You should be able to analyse problems, consider possible solutions and use your experience and influencing skills to deliver a satisfactory solution.
