My client is a Multinational Tier 1 Automotive business looking to employ an experienced Controls Engineer. The successful candidate will be familiar with multi platform control systems, robot technologies and assisting in NPI projects within the automotive sector. The Role
- Project managment of new and existing products and equiptment
- Organise and deliver technical training throughout the business
- Assist with the business growth by learning new technology such as automation software, process development, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, robotics etc
- Use of theoretical digital electrronic theories to solve problems
- Provide support for the maintenence and Process department staff
- Project manage New Product Introduction activities to minimise future breakdown issues
- Perform changes and improvements on the automated lines and robots through PLC and HMI programming
- Manage budgets to emprove OEE throughout the manufacturing facility
Requirements
- Qualified to degree level in mechatronics, controls, electronics or automation is preferred
- Minimum 5 years working in automation and automotive sector is essential
- Experience with Siemens S7, Multi-platform control systems, robot technologies are essential
