Our client is an environmental consultancy providing advice for the Construction and Development Sectors.
Academic Qualifications - Candidates for this role are anticipated to hold relevant qualifications including BSc/ MSc in Ecology/ Zoology/ Biology or an Environmental Science.
Professional Qualifications - Candidates should possess full CIEEM membership and ideally hold at least one protected species license e.g. Bat, GCN, etc.
Career Background - You will have at least 5 years' experience in Ecological Consultancy including experience with protected species and phase 1 habitat surveying as well as experience with mitigation work.
About the Role
As a Senior Ecologist, you will:
- Play a role in leading an Ecology team on a range of projects
- Identify and procure new ecological business for the team with new and existing clients
- Prepare and implement Ecological Impact Assessments (EIAs)
- Be involved in project management
- Produce high quality written reports and documents
- Be responsible for monitoring the progress of a range of projects, including resolving any technical issues that may arise
- Manage of junior members of staff, developing their technical and commercial skills
Salary dependent upon relevant experience and skills
