Estimator

Due to internal promotion this commercial landscaper based in Chelmsford, Essex, is looking for an enthusiastic Estimator looking for an exciting new challenge.

With contracts based around London and the South East; working for prestigious property developers including; Berkeley's, St James, Galliford Try, Countryside and Bellways; their expansion plan means there is plenty of scope and opportunity for the right person.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Analyzing designs/plans and using measuring software to determine the tender price
- Gathering project costs from subcontractors and suppliers
- Attending pre-construction meetings to understand logistics and scope of works
- Creating accurate bids and writing proposals according to customers' needs as well as bid specifications.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with surveyors and site managers to increase sales opportunities and ensure smooth running of the project
- Provide support to Contract Managers with regard to variations and job handover information
- Measure conversion rates through data analysis
- Update company software to provide base information to purchaser and contracts managers on details of the tender and contract requirements.

The successful applicant will understand the construction and/or landscaping industry, possess excellent communication, computer and Microsoft excel skills and be looking for a role with autonomy and opportunities for progression.

Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience and a quarterly bonus is achievable on reaching sales targets.
