Exciting opportunity to join a successful team working as a Laboratory Aide in a busy kit packing department, on a part time basis, earning up to £7,488 per annum.

We are the largest stem cell bank in the UK, having stored more samples then all other UK banks combined and have been established for over 14 years. We fully believe in the value of these services, as well as their present and future possibilities. We offer three core services for stem cell banking; umbilical cord, dental pulp and adipose tissue.
We currently have a vacancy for a Laboratory Aide to join our Kit Packing team to assist with kit packing and shipping duties, based on the Nottingham Science & Technology Park.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembling cord blood, cord tissue, dental pulp and adipose collection kits for our Agents;
- Preparing shipments of cord blood, cord tissue, dental pulp, adipose pathopacks and any other shipments to Agents;
- Ensuring good housekeeping standards within the kit assembly and tank room areas;
- Preparation of the collection kit boxes and screw top containers used in the cord blood, dental pulp and adipose collection kits;
- Maintaining stock levels and entering stock information on the company database;
- Maintaining the kit order list tracker;
- Understanding and adhering to the Quality Systems and Controls in place;
Key Skills:
- Good communicator both verbally and in writing at all levels;
- High attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment;
- Being able to work as part of an extremely busy team, as well as using own initiative with regards to problem solving;
- This role is physically demanding with a significant amount of manual handling on a daily basis;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision;
- Previous experience of working within a science or healthcare background would be beneficial;
Terms & Benefits:
- 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10.00am to 2.00pm - these times may be flexible to suit;
- Salary of up to £7,488 per annum;
- 23 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), rising to 25;
