A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Materials Controller to join a growing packaging manufacturer based in Salisbury, SP4.

Our client offers a dynamic and challenging environment with a mix of manufacturing, office based work and sales opportunities. As a primarily Business-to-Business (B2B) operation focused on the packaging market in the UK, they are always looking for the right people to add to their close knit team.
Position Summary;
As Materials Controller it will be your responsibility to manage all materials coming onto and leaving the site; movement of goods between warehouses and proactive preparation of materials for production.

Other duties included within the role are recording of material documentation using the company MRP and NCR applications, the undertaking of a monthly stock take across all site units and the management of consumable materials.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in the communication of goods delivery and booking in
• Loading and unloading of delivery and collection vehicles
• Coordinating despatches, marshalling deliveries and checking paperwork / obtaining signatures as required
• Booking in goods at goods inwards/outwards, processing and filling of CoC’s
• Storing and retrieval of stock and associated counting / re-labelling and MRP system updates
• Stock checking and perpetual inventory with adjustments and notification of relevant personnel
• Housekeeping activities both in the warehouses and the yard areas
• Supplying daily required parts and raw materials for M&A departments

About you:
The successful candidate will have the required skills and experience to undertake this role, including;
• Previous experience working within a busy manufacturing and production stores environment is essential
• Counterbalance forklift licence is essential
• PC Literate with working experience of email (outlook); MS Office in addition to use of MRP and NCR applications
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to work alone or as a part of a team in addition to demonstrating a flexible and dynamic approach to all tasks set
• Excellent communication skills with ability to manage time efficiently
