An exciting opportunity has arisen with a global ICT firm who are looking to hire an HR Business Partner to be based at their offices in Reading, Berkshire.

This person will provide High level advisory services on a broad range of HR matters, including recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits and employee relations in accordance with employment legislation and best practice.

Main Responsibilities:
*Develop, drive and implement the HR strategy for the assigned business unit, including; capability, employee engagement and talent initiatives in order to support the drive of business performance.
*Work in partnership with managers in business area to understand the key performance issues, objectives and drivers and subsequently proactively drive the HR agenda.
*Ensure that people management capability is transferred to and owned by the line and in doing so drive the HR Business Partner model.
*Develop and maintain trusting and effective working relationships with senior line managers, challenging their thinking and working closely with them to co-develop solutions to meet their current and future business needs
*Specific responsibility for the Training and Development function including i-learning and working with managers and staff to ensure training and development is understood, measured and improved to drive product quality and safety.
*Coach, challenge and advise senior line managers on organisational effectiveness and general HR issues, including giving basic ER guidance prior to transferring cases to the ER team.
*Responsible for the performance management, including probation management, organize half and yearly performance assessment, and daily job related performance management.
*Provide sound advice on all HR issues such as reward, talent, performance, organisation development, change, culture and leadership.
*Identify and consider the need for change and facilitate the formulation of change plans from the HR and Business perspective.
*Lead on `business critical' people initiatives eg talent development and tailor corporate HR programs to meet local business needs.
*Work closely with Centres of Excellence and HR Operations teams to proactively identify and influence changes to improve HR service and processes.
*Implement HR processes as defined by the Centres of Excellence.
*Undertake specialist Human Resources projects and other related jobs as required.

Requirements:
*Degree qualified or equivalent
*Minimum 5 years of working experience in HR with excellent technical HR knowledge within a global Matrix organisation, at HRBP or HR Manager level
*Demonstrable understanding of the employment law framework
*Strong commercial approach with a good understanding of business needs
*Proven experience of working in partnership with line managers in order to improve people management practices
*Proven ability to identify 'potential', develop and retain talent
*Knowledge of and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions to drive a high performance culture
*Passionate about customer service
*Experience of coaching and influencing line managers
*Strong communication skills and able to negotiate and influence effectively with all levels of the organization
*Good interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a demanding and fast paced environment
*Accurate, pro-active, able to work independently and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills
