Karmelle has an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter / Service Engineer to join the team based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. This is a full time, permanent position, offering a highly competitive salary dependant on experience.

Mechanical Fitter / Service Engineer – Job Role

Karmelle Ltd is seeking to appoint a qualified Mechanical Fitter/ Service Engineer with 3+ years experience who can assist with assembly and on-site installations to join our dynamic team. The role is based on our premises in Huddersfield but you will be required to travel to our customer’s locations on regular basis.

Main Job tasks, responsibilities & skills  as our Mechanical Fitter / Service Engineer:

Reading from technical drawings and assembling packaging machinery using mechanical fitting skills. Once assembled, you will be part of a team that is required to install and commission the products on site. You will also be required to travel independently and provide assessments and repairs.

Skills and Experience required for our Mechanical Fitter / Service Engineer:

- Basic skills in Pneumatic Logic, Electric Control, Problem Finding - essential

- Basic knowledge of CAD design desirable

- Experience of working with mechanics, pneumatics, and electrics is desirable

- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment and working with packaging equipment will be an advantage

- Clean driving licence is essential

Karmelle Ltd supply and install machinery, this role will be based in Huddersfield with travelling around the country (and possibly occasionally abroad) so commitment to working away from home for short periods of time is essential.
