Rate: GBP500 per day
Contract: 1 Months (with possible extension)
Key tasks and deliverables
We require someone to develop a GP toolkit for writing individual management reviews relating to safeguarding investigations (Serious Case Reviews) and domestic homicide investigations.
Deliverables:
GP toolkit which includes:
Types of investigations that clinicians may have to undertake
Legal and professional background to undertaking or contributing to investigations
Description of the methodologies
Process for undertaking
Examples of good practice
Where to get further information.
The toolkit also needs to be written in a logical and easy to understand format. The end product will be both an electronic and hard copy document which can be shared throughout all GP practices in London, and potentially nationally through the other Regions.
Experience Required
Primary Care experience, clinical qualification, experience in developing and testing toolkits for clinicians and service users. Expertise in investigation methodology, safeguarding and domestic homicides, skills to engage with other safeguarding clinicians
Additional qualifications required for this role
The toolkit needs to be undertaken by someone with primary care expertise in the area from a clinical viewpoint and have experience developing toolkits which are accessible and comprehensible to clinicians and service users. This work will require expertise in investigation methodology, safeguarding and domestic homicides, and also have skills in engaging with other safeguarding clinicians (including Named GPs) to scope, design and test the toolkit.
