Who we are
United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. We believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.
The Service
The service provides 24 hour support for 6 'older' people with learning difficulties living in their own homes. There is a high degree of personal care required as well as support in all areas of daily living.
Who we are looking for
We need reliable and passionate people to join our close-knit team of Support Workers, supporting people out in the community, as well in their own homes. You’ll help them cook, clean, pay bills, apply for jobs, make friends and a thousand things in between.
Experience is desirable, but the main attribute required is more about having the right attitude and approach, demonstrating a willingness to work, learn and a genuine respect for the people we support.
The hours are not fixed and staff are required to work some evenings and alternate weekends.
Not got any experience?

What we need from you
You need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect. You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed. You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.
