The Marketing, Events and Tourism (MET) Cluster seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer who can contribute fully to departmental activities. Candidates should normally hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualifications.



We are seeking applicants who are committed to teaching, research and external engagement. You will be able to contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programmes across a range of marketing management disciplines and demonstrate an ability to build links locally and regionally that will enhance the student experience.



A proven ability to lead teaching in the areas of, marketing principles and practice, research methods, consumer behaviour, marketing communications or event management will be particularly valuable. The nature of the subject group's teaching means that you will be confident and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large modules (150+ students), as well as independently on specialist marketing modules. You will be equally comfortable working with our full-time undergraduates, or our post-experience postgraduate students and credible in dealing with clients who may be at senior levels within external organisations.



Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Post Holder for the Lectureship:



??? To teach aspects of marketing at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels.

??? To further develop the curriculum and provide opportunities for a range of student engagement opportunities.

??? To contribute to the research and knowledge exchange activities of the subject group.

??? To undertake module leadership, or other academic roles as required.

??? To undertake appropriate continuing personal and professional development.

??? To contribute to the collegiate life of the Subject Group, Department, Faculty and University.

??? To adhere to FBL business processes and meet required deadlines.
