Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter - Permanent Position - Stoke on Trent

Salary: up to £27,500 / £13.91phr 

Duties: Mechanical Fitter required, working as part of the machine build assembly team. 

Daily duties will include: 

• Build pneumatics and hydraulics equipment used to control the machines
• Ensure that all parts and assemblies are correctly fitted and assembled together in accordance with the agreed tolerances and procedures. 

Experience should include: 

• Background within automation / precision engineering
• General mechanical hand fitting skills
• Experience of fitting bearings and alignment of shafts
• Pneumatics and hydraulics assembly experience
• Welding and fabrication experience
• The safe use of overhead cranes
• Press tool, punch and die experience
• Machining skills would be beneficial 
• Some electrical experience would be advantageous 

Some out of hours work may be required along with offsite and overseas work 

Qualifications Required

• Engineering Apprenticeship and or HND / HNC Qualified 

Hours: 38 hours per week basic. 

Monday to Friday 08.00am to 16.30pm 

Friday 08.00am to 14.20pm
