2nd Line Application Support - Infrastructure Analyst

To support the programme and the implemented change, a Senior Analyst opportunity has arisen within the Applications Services Team for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, experienced ICT all-rounder. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in capacity planning, resource management and technical skills to manage and maintain a large portfolio of commercial and police specific third party applications.

As well as managerial and leadership responsibilities, key tasks of the post holder will include regular patching of server operating systems, application patches and upgrades, system configuration, documentation, diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex issues, supplier management and the provision of second line end user support.

The post holder will also be involved in projects such as new system implementations or business process reengineering.

The successful candidate will need to evidence strong leadership, planning, technical, communication, analytical and problem solving skills. They will also need a good understanding and experience of performing Oracle DBA tasks. A good understanding of server and desktop operating systems is also required. Previous experience of supplier management and the provision of second line support is needed and system configuration support for Microsoft products such as Exchange, Lync, and SharePoint would also be advantageous.
