Agile Coach
Agile Coach / Exeter / 6 Months Contract
Job Responsibilities
1. Working with multiple Agile/Scrum teams across the organisation with a focus on improving and changing the way we gather and communicate requirements end to end.
2. Working across the Business to evangelize and drive a common understanding and approach to agile delivery.
3. Working with the lead coach within the key project driving the Agile initiative.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
1. Experience and track record of coaching others in Agile principles and practices.
2. Identify and drive improvements & change based on the maturity of teams, in alignment with the organisational Agile initiative.
3. Working with Product Owners to craft, articulate and collaborate on improved requirements practices, such as customer journey mapping, personas, user stories.
4. Working with the delivery teams to take stories from idea through to delivery to customer. Emphasis on implementing estimation across the full project lifecycle.
5. Actively works with the department and teams, to reflect on how to be more effective and be part of our continuous improvement processes.
6. Ability to facilitate people, principles and practices in an environment of change, whilst at the same time delivering key project outcomes.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
1. Knowledge of AgilePM and Disciplined Agile Development.
2. Knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development.
The Met Office is in the process of transforming its approach to technology change and life cycling. As part of this initiative they are looking for an experienced Agile coach to work with the people who are new to these processes to help coach them and provide support while these changes are implemented. They are looking for an individual who will be sensitive to the existing processes within the Met Office and understand that they are looking to implement these changes in a evolutionary rather than revolutionary manner.
