WHY? Opportunity to work for a LEADING MULTI-NATIONAL Tier One Automotive supplier who have RECENTLY WON NEW BUSINESS and are looking for an Automotive Account Management professional to assist them in managing the account with the aim of growing and expanding the business share with the customer.

The role would be based from their site in South Wales (15 minutes from Newport, 30 minutes from Cardiff) and would involve regular travel to the Midlands.

The client is open to considering either employing someone on a fixed term contract basis (circa 6 months) or on a rolling contract and paying an hourly / day rate.

About the Account Manager (Automotive)

You will report in to the Customer Unit Manager and take responsibility for managing the day to day relationship with JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) responding to any queries raised, raising any RFQs (request for quotation) and undertaking general account management duties.

As the Account Manager (Automotive) you will be responsible for:

- Assisting in the acquisition of any parts / consumables required
- Obtaining information from the customer (JLR) both in terms of their requirements and to assist the client in growing their relationship and their share of the market with them
- Costing proposal preparation and dealing with any RFQs
- Preparation of customer related documentation
- Acting as the customer liaison / account manager and being the link between the site and the customer ensuring that a good relationship is built and maintained between the two

About you and what you will need:

- Previous experience of account management with JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) is essential
- Tier One Automotive experience is needed
- The Account Manager will ideally have experience with plastic products within the automotive sector
- Must have experience of raising costing proposals / RFQs
- Experience and ability of growing business share is highly desirable
- Must be able to travel as required to fulfil business needs
- Ability to travel within Europe as required is needed
- Must hold a valid passport
- Excellent communication skills are needed in both written and verbal formats
- Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications
