REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering compay with a global client base.
Job Description:
Compliance with HSE policies for the department including creation, Risk Assessment, audit compliance, corrective and preventative action, accident investigation and prevention.
Use of Maintenance schedules, scorecards, improvement plans and daily/visual management techniques as require.
Rigorously apply 5S and hazard reduction processes.
Continually improve and manage effective PPM systems.
Introduce, improve and manage stores for engineering and maintenance components.
Accountable for leading, motivating, coaching and developing your team including strong succession plans, appraisals and personal training and development plans.
Responsible for ensuring all day to day people related tasks are fully documented and being carried on time and effectively.
Responsible for managing first line issues within the team in a timely and accurate manner including disciplinary and grievance hearings.
Ensuring all documentation is processed in a timely manner with the relevant departments to ensure budget accuracy is maintained.
Accountable for control of holidays within the team to ensure that production risk is minimised.
Skills, Experience & Qualification
Desirable Requirements:
- Multi skilled experience with a Mechanical bias
- Engineering ONC/HNC level qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of a 'hot working environment'
- Experience/awareness of VIM melt and Remelt systems and processes would be adventurous but not essential.
- Experience of vacuum systems would be adventurous but not essential.
- Experience of predictive/preventative maintenance systems.
Demonstrable Experience of:
- People management and supervision
- Managing and maintaining health, safety and environment standards and processes.
Qualities & Attributes
- Excellent awareness and attention to HSE and Quality standards, requirements and processes.
- Demonstrable ability to plan and organise.
- Demonstrable communication skills.
