Electrical Project Engineer
An excellent opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join one of the UK's leading manufacturers of Electrical Distribution Equipment.
The Electrical Project Engineer will join the established Projects Department. This is a varied office based role and involves close co-ordination with our Customers, Field Sales, Customer Service Centres and Engineering Department.
Applicants should have an electrical and ideally a commercial background and be able to form relationships with customers at all levels. They must also be well organised, technically competent, computer literate, hard working, tenacious and creative.
This vacancy is purely due to expansion.
The range of product manufactured varies from simple power transformers to large bespoke equipment that are used in harsh environments (normally outdoors) to meet specific requirements across various industry sectors for example Construction, Rail or MoD.
The Project Department currently comprises of a team 4. The role will include: working from tender documents / email or phone enquiry: offer technical support; examine tender documentation and advise of the best solution (may be standard, bespoke products or mix); take an enquiry and produce a detailed quotation using where available in-house computer based aides; liaise with other departments to gather data required for the compilation of tenders.
Ideally we require candidates to have an electrical qualification (minimum HNC)
This role demands a blend of technical / commercial knowledge and will be ideal for someone who can use their own initiative to apply this knowledge to the tasks detailed above.
Salary Guide: circa GBP35-40K (negotiable).
Pension: 3% contribution by employee & 6.5% by the company. 22 days holiday (increases at 1 per year to 25).
