Group Quality Manager

Group Quality Manager: My client, an industry leading manufacturer in West Yorkshire, seeks to appoint a Quality Manager to oversee their ISO9001 approved quality management system and all customer and third party approvals. This role could as easily suit a senior quality engineer with some management experience looking to make the step up as an existing Quality Manager. Most important is a good all-round quality background, some people management experience and good knowledge of lean and automotive quality tools.

Working in conjunction with other production and operations, and utilising a quality team of engineers and inspectors, you will be able to make suggestions for future quality procedure improvements to drive standards up further. As well as managing the quality system you will also be hands-on on a day-to-day basis. The successful Quality Manager will be confident and articulate and have good communication skills to deal with customers. It is essential you have worked with ISO9001 in a previous quality role.

Group Quality Manager - Requirements and Responsibilities:

- Qualification to HND or degree level with minimum five years experience in a quality role
- Have been the lead contact for an external audit from a customer or external assessment body such as BSI
- Good communicator comfortable training shop-floor level staff one day and reporting to the board the next
- Occasional travel to suppliers may be required (a passport and driving licence are required)
- Lead contact for customer queries and responsible for investigations into customer complaints
- Good knowledge of lean and continuous improvement focused quality techniques
