Position - Mobile Theatre Practitioner or ODP - National Ref - ZAMOBILETHE Location - National Hours - Full Time - Monday to Friday Salary - ??30k plus OT, plus Car Allowance or Company Car, Pension, Mobile Phone I currently have an excellent opportunity to work with a leading mobile theatre unit company. They are currently recruiting Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners with a minimum of two skills to include either scrub or endoscopy. Hospital / Company Information: Our client offers a number of mobile surgical units with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. They support both the NHS and other healthcare providers with their unique fleet of sophisticated clinical mobile healthcare facilities and are regarded as a leader within their field. It is essential that you are happy to work as part of a close knit team, be prepared to work long hours and also be comfortable working away from home 5 consecutive days as you will be expected to work as part of the mobile theatre team who support the NHS across the country. Responsibilities include Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment at all times, whilst delivering a high level of expertise and professionalism during clinical work at the host site. Develop clinical practice by sharing knowledge with co-professionals and participate in the clinical audit process. Maintain patient safety at all times To assist with stock control, and take part in product and equipment evaluation. Develop and maintain good communication with all grades of staff at host sites. To participate, together with other crew members, in the cleaning of the theatre unit when necessary. Any other duties falling within the remit of the operating theatre crew. Essential requirements: A professional qualification as either a Registered Nurse or an Operating Department Practitioner A minimum of two skills to include either scrub or endoscopy Excellent communication skills Professional attitude A thorough understanding of the unit's systems Minimum three years appropriate operating theatre department experience Current full driving licence Benefits: ??30,000 starting salary - for a 38 hour week (4 days p/w 8:00-18:00), although staff are nearly always required for a five day week of 47.5 hours with the last 9.5 hours paid at time plus a third Company car or car allowance Hotel accommodation and evening meal paid for during the week Pension scheme Option to buy/sell holidays.
