Position: Graduate Recruitment Consultant
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: GBP18,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission

Our client has built up a fantastic reputation with clients both in the UK and internationally and is growing! Therefore, they are keen to attract the best graduates to join its team in Edinburgh as a Graduate Recruitment Consultant. In this fast-paced, rewarding position, you would be tasked with placing technically qualified professionals in an extremely buoyant industry.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Candidate Generation:
- Actively generate suitably qualified candidates across a number of disciplines including Geoscience, Petroleum, Engineering, and Drilling, Wells & HSE.
- Headhunting for live vacancies, pre-screening and reference checking candidates when appropriate.
- Keeping the candidate database accurate and up to date.
- Submitting candidate CV's and shortlists to clients for live vacancies upon agreed timeframes.
- Keeping candidates continually up to date throughout the process with client feedback.
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle from CV submission, to interview, to offer and acceptance.
Client Relations:
- Manage existing client relationships.
- Use your business development and sales skills to establish new industry relationships, partnerships and clients.
- Negotiation and agreement of client contracts.
- Communicate effectively various stakeholders.
- Ensure client database is up to date and accurate.
- Regularly engaging with clients to maintain working knowledge of client activity and potential recruitment needs.
- Manage and control the recruitment process from a client perspective, from initial job order through to shortlist, interviews and offer acceptance.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships and negotiate contract extensions when applicable.
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders regarding consultant/client documentation and mobilisation.
- Utilising various online methods (e.g. social media, LinkedIn, job boards) to advertise for all live vacancies.
- Plan and monitor personal performance against individual targets.
- Maintain consistent daily, weekly and monthly activity.
- Travel - when appropriate and agreed upon internally.
Required Skills & Experience:
- University educated.
- Previous experience in sales (e.g. insurance sales, retail, medical sales).
- Full clean UK driving licence preferred.
- Willingness, and interest, in travelling.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Organised and self-motivated.
- Pro-active manner and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong networker.
