Production Planner Engineer, Sheffield
We are recruiting for a Production Planning Engineer on behalf of a leading Company who are at the forefront of the railroad revolution, with a blend of history and innovation that drives them each day.
The Company, part of a larger leading Company, have a number of facilities in the UK; where they undertake the manufacture of specialist parts for the rail industry, with around three quarters of their product going into the rail infrastructure in the UK. They take pride in the high standard of their product and the service that they deliver to their customers.
The Role:
Responsible for the creation of Bills of Materials, the generation of effective production routes and the efficient planning and control of production to meet contractual deadlines.
Responsibilities Include:
- Create, maintain and use of forecast & capacity plans
- Monitor, report and recommend on issues involving capacity constraints and excess capacity
- Control the release works orders
- Generate and distribute plans and work flow information to production personnel
- Creation of material take off lists for requisitions
- Create and continuously improve production Bills of Materials and production routes
- Manage the change control processes
- Assist in the development and improvement of the supply chain
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in metal fabrication manufacturing environment
- HNC or equivalent in Manufacturing or Engineering
- Demonstrable understanding and hands on experience with MRP / ERP systems
Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 + 5% bonus + Benefits
