Description
- Maintain, use and improve the Quality Management System
- Write and revise SOPs, work instructions and Quality Management System documentation as necessary.
- Own the NCR system, data and analysis. Use to drive behavioural change and reduce number and cost of NCRs
- Investigate customer complaints and put in place corrective / preventative measures
- Complete audits and monitor the consistency of outputs across the team
- Maintain compliance with ISO9001:2000
- Determine incoming goods inspection process and inspect incoming goods as required
- Improve processes across the business to improve safety, quality, on time delivery and cost efficiency - make them Flow
- Promote Continuous Improvement in all areas of the business (Operations and Support functions)
- Instill World Class Manufacturing Philosophies (Lean and 6 Sigma tools and techniques)
- Train and coach Managers, Team Leaders and other staff to drive improved quality performance and right first time culture
- Carry out FMEAs and risk assessments
- Track the benefits of improvements made
- Track and reduce the cost of quality; target GBP100k benefit pa
- Other duties as required.
Profile
- Quality Management / Systems
- Process Improvement techniques (Process mapping, Root Cause analysis, Kaizen events)
- Lean
- Relevant degree
- Train/coach/develop others
- Minimum 2 years in relevant role
- Good influencer; able to drive change.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Prepared to travel and work at remote sites on regular basis
