JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an In-House Recruitment Consultant / Talent Advisor Specialist / Internal Recruiter that has excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to quickly understand staffing requirements, especially within the Managerial/Technical space.

Working as the In-House Recruitment Consultant / Talent Advisor Specialist / Internal Recruiter you will be responsible for developing, improving, and implementing recruitment and selection strategies, policies, processes, programs and initiatives to optimise the Company’s ability to recruit, attract and select the best candidates for their business. You will work in partnership with the Business Managers and Human Resources Team to support the implementation of the strategies and programs, and to ensure that the Managers / Supervisors are equipped with the appropriate recruitment tools and processes.

As the In-House Recruitment Consultant / Talent Advisor Specialist / Internal Recruiter you will also be responsible for providing direct recruitment support and services to the Business Managers based in the UK. The focus is on recruiting quality candidates, contributing to reducing staff turnover and drastically reducing costs.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide direct recruitment support to managers and supervisors in respect to the recruitment of Managerial, IT Technical, Specialist roles (middle manager level and above) in the UK and Ireland. This may include working directly with business managers for certain positions, or in partnership with the HR team, and could include the following services:
  • Internal and external job postings
  • Pre-screen CVs
  • Pre-screen interviews (e.g., telephone)
  • On-site and face to face interviews
  • Coordination of career fairs and other recruitment initiatives
  • Providing input into selection of final candidate 
  • Monitor and review staff vacancies and recruitment activity by branch/region/department/organisation
  • Work with HR Team and Managers to define roles and responsibilities for positions, and confirm candidate qualifications and competencies
  • Identify recruitment sources within the recruitment plan, including temporary agencies, recruitment agencies, universities and colleges, industry associations, etc.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory requirements for recruiting and selection, by location
  • Provide recruitment training to Managers, including navigation of job boards, assessments, CV screening, and behavioural interview training
  • Research, improve and administer recruitment assessments (e.g., Predictive Index (PI), etc.)
  • Manage contracts with third party service providers, including assessment firms, national/international job boards, recruitment agencies, temporary agencies. 
  • Maintain a preferred supplier list of recruitment agencies, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost effective services are provided
  • Partner with the HR team and IT to develop and improve recruitment processes and tools, including job boards, Company career websites, applicant tracking tools, etc.
  • Review existing recruitment and assessment process, research recruitment best practices and trends and develop recommendations for new or improved recruitment policies, strategies, processes, and programs.
  • Provide input to and work towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure recruitment activities. Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on recruitment activities and programs (e.g., cost per hire, time to fill)
  • Assist with Human Resources projects, as required, including workforce forecasts, career planning, succession planning, etc.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize & meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experienced in working in a highly confidential environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, including specific research projects
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be qualified to work in the UK and have a clean criminal records check
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & HRIS (e.g., SAP Human Capital Management)
  • University undergraduate degree, preferably with a degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business (or equivalent)
  • CIPD qualification is preferred
  • Proven experience in a Human Resources environment or agency experience, specifically in recruitment
  • Prior experience in managerial/technical recruitment is required
  • Experience working in an international organisation, headquartered in North America is desirable
