Whether you already work with older people, or are looking for a new challenge, there is no better time to join the St Monica Trust. We recognise the contribution that our nurses make and are therefore pleased to announce the launch of our improved rates of pay and our development guide. We recognise the individual capabilities of our nurses and wish to reward them accordingly. With our new development structure, each of our nurses has an understanding of where they are, how they can progress and the training and support available to allow them to do so. Therefore, in addition to annual salary reviews, a rewarding working environment where they can use and develop their clinical skills, our nurses have a clear career pathway.

You may not have considered working in a care home before, but here it's different??? St Monica Trust is at the cutting edge of caring for older people and people with dementia. We boast award winning, ample facilities and services and pride ourselves on our commitment to continued learning and development for our employees. Our Nurses enjoy the responsibility; taking the lead when caring for their residents, spending valuable time with them to build trust and rapport, really getting to know the person they are caring for. Our nurses have a much more rounded nursing experience in our nurse-led teams delivering consistent, resident-focussed care.

"I wanted to work for an organisation where I had time to care, where opinions mattered and where equality meant that everybody had a right to care and support".

What we're looking for:
The ideal candidates will have experience of working with older people or within specialist care units, such as working with people with dementia. However it is also the perfect opportunity for an experienced nurse looking for a change in specialism. In addition to top-class clinical skills and a proven track record of nursing, you'll possess exceptional communication, team working, supervisory and problem solving skills. Equally important is a collaborative approach to reviewing and developing care plans with residents and the ability to build strong relationships of trust with residents, their families and teams.

This is your chance to make a difference - to utilise and enhance the clinical and nursing skills you've been honing throughout your career within a rewarding and forward thinking environment.

You can find more details about the role and the person we are looking for, through the role profile, which is available on our website.

If you are ready for this new challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.
