Cash Office Manager
Sheffield
Salary up to £20,000 pa

They currently have an opening for a Cash Office Manager at their depot in Sheffield. This is an opportunity that would suit an individual who has experience in dealing with large cash transactions and a good understanding of basic bookkeeping as you will be overseeing high value transactions daily.
The Cash Office Manager is responsible for all financial transactions within the depot, you will manage a team where you will take ownership to ensure the smooth running of the depot's cash office function. An important part of the role is to ensure the numbers all match up, so an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for numbers is necessary.
Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
- General Management of the cash office team
- Credit Control - commercial decisions on the spot with regards to customer credit
- Ensure all daily takings are balanced
- Cashing up and banking
- Compiling weekly customer direct debit payments
- Communicate cash discrepancies to senior management
- Dealing with escalated customer queries
- Compile weekly sales reports
To be a Cash Office Manager, you should:
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have very strong IT skills, especially excel to a good level
- Be polite and friendly
- Be honest and trustworthy
- Be proactive and confident in your decision making at all times
- Be able to build a good rapport with customers and be aware of their needs
- Be able to manage a team and ensure the smooth running of the cash office
- Be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days.
