Description

Due to continued growth they have an opportunity for a HR Advisor role at the Skelmersdale site. Reporting to an offsite HR Manager, the position is a great opportunity for a HR professional to develop their career in a fast paced production environment.

Ideal candidates should be part or fully CIPD qualified, ideally with prior experience in recruitment as well as a generalist HR, and will be expected to operate semi-autonomously in the role with support provided as required.


Relationships:

  • Directly responsible to the Human Resources Manager
  • Close liaison with the other department managers and supervisors at all times is essential
  • Close liaison with the Human resource and Finance function members is important.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collate information for, load and run monthly payroll for the Skelmersdale site
     
  • Respond to payroll queries and resolve issues within a timely manner
     
  • Manage HR and benefits system administration (Monarch employee creation, new employee creation, STAR award and SPARK award process, generate induction packs and paperwork, populate employee offer letters and contracts, appraisals, voluntary benefits, pensions, life assurance and other HR processes and systems from time to time may operate)
     
  • Lead new site orientations and induction process for new starters, including delivering any policy or training materials and ensuring accurate records of completion
     
  • Source, process and interview applicants for the Skelmersdale site using whichever recruitment tools and methods are given, whilst including building a pipeline of external talent.
     
  • Provide HR KPIs and metrics to managers and department heads as required, including relevant HR information required for Sales tenders.
     
  • Support any Ethical audits, ensuring that the client maintains compliance with prevalent legislation and advise your direct line manager of any discrepancies and proposed solutions
     
  • Provide training in HR policies and processes to managers, supervisors and employees
     
  • Support site managers in co-ordinating site training plans and ensure all training is documented in line with the companies guidelines
     
  • Support Management team with grievance and disciplinary process, including any note taking and performance management, answering day to day HR queries, whilst working closely with the HR Manager to resolve more complex HR queries and cases.
