CAD/CAM Programmer
GBP30-40K+Overtime and Excellent benefits
We have an excellent opportunity for an CAD/CAM Programmer to join a global precision manufacturing organisation serving the aerospace industry.
This position is an office based role within their design engineering office and would involve travelling to the manufacturing sites in the UK, and sometimes Europewhen required to implement/install the programmes.
The design engineering office is commutable from Maidenhead, Marlow, any where in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or West London/Middlesex areas.
As an CAD/CAM Programmer, your duties would include:
- Offline and CAD/CAM Programming 3, 4 and (if has the right experience) 5 axis CNC milling machines using Catia V5
- Designing fixtures for new and existing projects
- Oversee prove out of new programmes on the machines
- Interpret BSI and Airbus specs and apply to the manufacturing process.
- Create part methods on efacs.
- Ensure parts are manufactured to meet First article requirements
- Review current jobs and re-engineer to meet our continuous improvement targets.
Experience required for the NC Programmer role
- CAD/CAM Offline programming experience
- Previous CNC machining experience
- Understanding of tooling selection and cutting techniques
- Catia V5 experience or knowledge would be a distinct advantage
