Design Engineer (Mechanical) Sheffield GBP30,000 to GBP40,000 + Overtime Paid Pension + 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Healthcare Design Engineer (Mechanical) position available in a leading lifting machinery manufacturer. The company supply bespoke products to a range of impressive global businesses. The job offers training and development and possible progression into projects with a company vehicle. This role will suit 3D Design Engineers who have designed lifting equipment or similar products from scratch. ANY Sheet metal, Structural, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems design transfers well. Ideally you will have experience designing machinery or large structures from scratch. This is an exciting role which will enable you to be involved in the full product life cycle. You will play a key role in the development of products. Working in a small design team, you will complete a range of projects that last between a month and a year. The company design and manufacture heavy products that are known to be among the best in the industry. The role will suit confident designers who are looking to continually improve their skills and progress. The role: * 3D mechanical design using various software packages (training provided). You can have experience with ANY 3D package.* Both concept and remodification based design work.* Sheet metal, Structural, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems design* Take a project from cradle to grave, liaising with others to maintain quality and answer queries .* Possible progression into client facing Project Manager role - this is not enforced if you would like to stay in the Design Team. The person: * Experienced 3D mechanical designer.* Will hold experience in special purpose or machinery design. ANY Sheet metal, Structural, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems design transfers well.* Will ideally hold a mechanical qualification and basic electrical skills - neither is essential.
