Senior Electrical Engineer - Dunstable - Up to GBP35K - APPLY NOW!
The Senior Electrical Engineer role will ideally suit an individual with electrical experience (and qualifications) and experience with UK electrical and lighting products. Good communication skills and customer focus are essential.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer:
- To give product assessment of new products to relevant British and European standards
- To write instruction sheets and datasheets for new and existing products
- To proof read and sign off on technical data produced both within the department and those originating from other areas of the business.
- To provide technical support and technical issue resolution via various customer communication throughout our sales network
- Product testing and fault finding
- Product fault rectification with communication to our factories in China
- Pre-shipment QC checks and Golden sample sign off
- Site visit assessments and reporting
Essential Requirements
The essential requirements of the Senior Electrical Engineer:
- Educated to a good level in both English & Maths
- BS7671 Wiring regulations 17th Edition
- Electrical degree or other associated
- 'On site' electrical and/ or technical service experience within commercial lighting industry
- Experience with lighting technology (LED) and wiring products
- Experience with electrical installation/ fault finding
- Good telephone manner and computer skills
- Good written and verbal communicator
- Able to work independently
Requirements (Desirable)
The Senior Electrical Engineer will ideally have:
- Experience within the lighting/ wiring accessories industry
- Lighting design experience in Relux or equivalent
- Test and inspection level qualified (2391 or equivalent)
- Experience in dealing with the far east
Package
The package for the Senior Electrical Engineer will be:
- Up to GBP35,000
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays (increases to 25 days)
- 2 weeks off over Christmas
- Pension
- Private health care after 2 years
