SDL Solutions Limited is seeking a Product Manager for hi-tech company based in Cambridge.
Our client's product roadmap, including all requirements and specifications.
Understand the needs of all key stakeholders and align these with the product roadmap.
Manage the product life cycle from roadmap planning, through high level product backlog definition to execution of product go-to-market plans.
Collaborate with customers and the wider business to identify opportunities to extend existing product capabilities and support development of new product capabilities.
Ensure a Return on Investment or similar metric is used to guide product planning and justification.
Deliver high quality products comprising software and supporting materials using a repeatable and efficient release process.
Establish information sharing and effective feedback channels that communicates product vision, progress, plans etc.
Clearly define a backlog of business epics and features with robust acceptance criteria.
Review deliverables and demonstrable software after every sprint, with authority to accept or reject.
Ensure entire team is working towards a common product vision with clearly defined business objectives at the beginning of every release programme.
Support the sales roll out process, acting as an internal and external evangelist for the product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers to drive up adoption of new capabilities.
Provide input to the development of collateral required to support marketing positioning and launch activities..
Skills/Personal Attributes:
Methodical and organised.
Demonstrable leadership and people management qualities.
Good verbal and written communicator with experience of working with multiple product stakeholders.
Analytical thinker.
Thrives in an environment of rapid change and uncertainty.
Knowledge of the smart home market is a strong advantage.
Education:
Degree level or must have significant experience in a closely related field.
Experience:
5+ years solid experience and understanding of the discipline of software product management.
Other essential requirements:
Must be able to travel Internationally.
Must hold a valid, full driving licence.
