Business Development Manager

Autoproducts is a family-run business supplying workshop consumables to the motor trade since 1973. With an excellent reputation in the industry for delivering high standards of service, Autoproducts has established itself as one of the leading suppliers of service protection to the automotive industry, and is an officially approved supplier to a number of motor manufacturers and dealerships including; Lotus, Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz and Bentley Motors to name but a few.

Working closely with the office-based staff and Sales Director, as the Business Development Manager you’ll take ownership for the account management of existing key clients whilst proactively identifying and developing new business leads. Your responsibilities and duties will include although not be limited to:

  • Arranging and attending sales meetings with prospective clients across the UK
  • Building, managing and developing effective client relationships, and maintaining consistent contact to ensure optimum customer experience
  • Attending networking events, maximising potential opportunities
  • Ensuring that the CRM database remains up-to-date at all times
  • Presenting a core plan on a regular basis to deliver performance targets

To be considered for this Business Development Manager role you MUST have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Proven field sales experience with a demonstrable track record of driving profitable growth
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain long term client relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Self-motivation with the desire to achieve results, whilst working to targets
  • IT literacy
  • Professional smart appearance
  • Full clean UK driving license and own transport

A technical, automotive or engineering background in a sales role would be advantageous, although not essential, as would the ability to speak any European foreign language.

Salary: Circa £25,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience. Plus performance related bonus scheme.

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (flexibility will be required for travelling to client sites and to meet client needs).
