LOCATION: Thame, Oxfordshire
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Supervisor
SALARY & BENEFITS: circa GBP18,000 - GBP24,000 dependent on experience and skills plus generous profit related bonus scheme to all employees after 3 months of service
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Wednesday 6am - 2pm and 8am - 5pm Thursday & Friday
THE COMPANY: Our client have been supplying sewing accessories and needlecrafts to the retail trade for over 50 years who are now the leading independent distributor of these items to many retail outlets in the UK. With over 50,000 items stocked they are experts in providing the trade with an exceptional range of products and a level of service which is renowned throughout the sector.
Due to continued successful growth they now seek an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team to work out their modern warehouse facility in Thame, Oxfordshire.
THE ROLE: As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible in leading, motivating and managing a team of staff who work in picking, packing and other general warehouse roles - You will be proactive in using & manoeuvring the available resource to achieve a daily workload. This is a hands on role where you will be expected to assist and work with the team, and in time the successful candidate will become responsible for the induction & training of new & existing colleagues on site.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Warehouse Supervisor's role must have previous experience working in a Warehouse environment and also experience leading, supervising or managing a team of staff. You should possess good computer skills - exel, word etc, whilst a basic knowledge of Health & Safety practices is also preferable. Candidate's must be physically fit and must also possess good communication skills both to colleagues and upper management
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Warehouse Supervisor's role in Thame, Oxfordshire :-
- Previous experience working in a Warehouse environment is essential
- Must live within or be able to commute to Thame
- Must have previous experience leading, supervising or managing a team of staff
- Good IT Skills and previous experience using Microsoft Word & Excel is essential
- Understanding and knowledge of basic Health & Safety guidelines is preferable but not essential
