Engine Technician - LFG
Salary - GBP30,000-GBP34,000 + vehicle
Location - Exeter (Field Based)
We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engine Technician/Engineer to provide reactive maintenance and breakdown cover to landfill gas and anaerobic digestion equipment around the South West. Our client is a leading name in the energy recovery/renewable energy sector. This is a field service position therefore you will need a full driving licence and be flexible with travelling.
General responsibilities as an Engine Maintenance Technician:
- Routine and reactive maintenance on landfill gas and anaerobic digestion sites across South West locations
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant (e.g. gas turbines, internal combustion engines, compressors, flares etc.)
- Adhering to health and safety policies at all time
- Work as part of a team and ensure maximum efficiency of plant
- Fault finding/diagnostics, reporting (CMMS) and documenting
- Other duties as required
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience carrying out maintenance on large reciprocating engines such as; Caterpillar, Perkins, Deutz, Jenbacher, Wartsila etc.
- Have a basic knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- Have a City & Guilds/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience working on LFG sites/large gas engines or similar
- A 17th Edition and IOSH is advantageous
- A full and clean driving licence
This position is offering a package of GBP30,000-GBP35,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits & vehicle, overtime and call out.
