A position has become available for a Process Engineering and Facilities Specialist to join a global manufacturing company's site in West Yorkshire
The Role of Facilities Manager / Process Specialist
The prime focus of the role will be to make improvements in the following areas:
- Energy savings (voltage optimisation and power factor correction)
- Electronics - update from Siemens S5 to S7.
- Work on SCADA, HMI and process improvements.
Engineering integrity and standards of the premises, grounds, utilities, associated plant, equipment and service systems.
Management of Contractors taking account of the HSEQ factors with responsibility for facility engineering records and drawings.
Identification and action of maintenance and verification requirements in order to maintain/improve the facilities.
Development of preventive measures through continuous improvement processes
Budgetary control of the Facility department and related Capital projects.
Hardware engineering of plant modifications and Capital projects from scope finalisation to handover to operations.
Responsibilities
- Instil a culture of health and safety awareness and continuous improvement
- Compliance with all relevant engineering legislation.
- Relevant engineering authorisations and permits.
- Carry out/participate in Inductions for contractors.
- RAMS and COSHH assessment and compliance for Department.
Qualifications & Skill
- Qualified in a relevant Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree.
- Working knowledge of 5s, TPM, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing techniques, i.e, BPS.
