The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Junior / Graduate Site Chemist (Waste) to be based on the outskirts of Bedford / Milton Keynes. The Junior / Graduate Site Chemist (Waste) represents the chance to come in to a world leading, multibillion pound organisation.
This role represents the perfect opportunity for a Chemistry / Science grad or qualified (HNC / HND) who are looking to get in to the industry a chance with a world leader!
The Role:
For the Junior / Graduate Site Chemist (Waste) you will be based predominantly on 1 site but may have to travel to client sites when needed. On this size, hazardous waste comes in and your job will be to analyse samples and write reports.
- To check and sign appropriate paperwork for incoming loads
- To perform sampling and verification of incoming waste chemicals and raise non-conformance reports as required, working outdoors.
- To assign disposal routes for all wastes arriving on site.
- To perform compatibility checks for bulking operations.
- To sort and re-pack chemical laboratory smalls.
- To organise and prepare waste outputs for onward disposal.
The Person:For the Junior / Graduate Site Chemist (Waste) we are not to bothered about experience, it is more qualifications and attitude that we are looking for. Someone who will use an entry level role and take an opportunity to forge a career in a market leading company with excellent training.
- Minimum of HNC or Degree qualification in Chemistry or relevant science degree
- Possess a full driving license
- Be numerate, literate and computer literate
- Any waste industry experience would be seen as advantageous
