The Human Resources Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the Human Resources Policies and Procedures are accurately implemented in the Division and provide advice, guidance and direction to the Senior Management Team to achieve this requirement.
Ideally, you will be Chartered or Fellow CIPD status and have previously worked in a high speed world class manufacturing organisation. Experience of developing and delivering an HR strategy to bring about improvements in retention, employee communication and employee engagement is key to this role.
To ensure that all members of the Senior Management Team operate within the spirit of the Employee Charter operating philosophy so that the Division is proactive in its approach to employee relations.
The HR Manager will contribute to the overall company strategy and policy making by advising Senior Managers on all aspects of Human Resources and in particular ensuring that actions taken by the Management of the Division are within both in the principles of the Employee's Charter and Country legislation and they understand the impact of their decisions on the Employees..
Responsibilities will focus on the promotion and management of the Employee's Charter and employment policies and procedures, recruitment, training and development, performance appraisals, health and safety management, and salary and benefits administration.
As HR Manager:
- Under the guidance of Group HR /Corporate HR function, provide advice and guidance on discipline and grievance policy and procedure to the Management of the Division.
- Introduce a procedure that will identify strategic workforce requirements, Temp, contract , Part-time, Full-Time workforce, including reporting of current and future projected needs.
- Introduce selection procedures that will evaluate candidates / employees to maximize job fit and organizational placement.
- Introduce relevant personality profiling and psychometric testing to support the selection procedure.
- Prioritise recruitment and manpower planning as an activity in support of commercial objectives. This will include: enhancing existing flexibility, responsiveness, capability to deal with volume of activity and anticipate changes in demand.
- Adopt a strategic approach to resourcing, typically through: relationships with suppliers, use of the internet, building an in-house database facility aimed at developing internal capability to support commercial projects
- Manage the recruitment and selection process in line with plant requirements, HR and BOS procedures.
- Introduce structured procedures that will evaluate candidates / employees to maximize job fit and organizational placement.
